CIP

Hello, my name is Jiehao Chen. I am from China.

Here I want to talk about my cultural identity.

NUMBER

No. 8 has long been regarded as the luckiest number in Chinese culture. With pronunciation of 'Ba' in Chinese, no. 8 sounds similar to the word 'Fa', which means to make a fortune. It contains meanings of prosperity, success and high social status too, so all business men favor it very much.
People use number 8 for their special car plate

COLOR
Red is considered the luckiest color in China, and it is widely used during festivals and important events like wedding.
DRAGON
Dragon is the holy animal in China. Dragon is not a real kind of animal, but Chinese believe it was existing.

LUNAR CALENDER

A lunar calendar is a calendar that is based on cycles of the lunar phases
So the Chinese new year of every year is not on the same day.
