UNIT 1 REFLECTION
In this unit, I learned a lot about culture and cultural identity. I know that there are many difference culture in the world. Everyone has their native language, customs, and beliefs. But nobody can say which culture is better or which is bad. So, this unit could help me to figure out what culture we stand in and how to respect the other culture.
When I was reading the text of introduction to culture, I realized culture is all around us and we have many difference cultures in the world. People around the world grow in the specific environment that influence the diverse culture. I would like to talk with people who from other culture, it can make me get more experience of culture and reflect my culture identity. But sometimes I also have culture shock, for example, it is not polite to use left to handshake with many countries people. But I think community is the best way to learn culture.
My Aha moment was I realized that culture is not just about language, food or belief, it is a process of learning. We don’t have to compare the difference kind of culture, we just learn and explore it.
For the bumper sticker, I would like to say “Don’t compare each other, Just respect each other”.

I didn’t know that I could find many definition of the culture while I was learning. Also I will find more value of this class.
